Keeping teams aligned when team members are spread across the country can be tricky.
But this challenge gave Nisheeth Pathak his moment of inspiration.
Nisheeth is the founder of WeSoar.ai, a performance productivity app designed to align and engage teams.
Thanks for talking to us Nisheeth! Could we start by learning a bit about what your company does?
WeSoar is an enterprise productivity app that helps teams win together even when they are remote.
We offer a completely redesigned performance management that is much more than traditional processes like OKR in an extremely easy to use platform.
How did the idea for your company come about?
I was looking for a performance management platform in my last role in HR and could not find a system that offered a great user experience as well as configurability. When I did not find one, I decided to build it.
While you're busy helping other businesses align their teams, how do you keep your team aligned?
We do it through a common purpose and very close communication.
Can you share any practical tips or processes to help people work remotely?
As a company that has built a remote working enabled platform, we focus on the 3 Ps: Prepare, Partner and Prioritize.
Fantastic. What is the biggest mistake you've made as an entrepreneur?
It definitely has been to outsource the development of the MVP to a third-party offshore company.
If you were going to invest in a startup business and you could only give one piece of advice to the team running that company, what would it be?
Think from the customer's perspective and flawlessly execute. Everything else is just noise.
Now for some fun questions. Who’s your favourite band or musician?
Keeps changing with time, but as the father of two young girls, I have been very impressed with Disney songs (Frozen to Aladdin and everything in between!)
Favourite film?
The biopic on MS Dhoni, ex-Indian cricket captain. Very few things can be better for me than a great combination of Bollywood and cricket!
Sounds perfect Nisheeth! Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us.
